I'm going to school for a marketing degree. My classes this semester include principles of accounting, macroeconomics, business writing/communication, music appreciation, and public relations. I'm usually an A or B student, and I just got a C on my Accounting test. Feels bad, man.
I play trombone in the jazz band at my school. I also play guitar. I just bought a new Gibson SG on a whim, so now I don't have a lot of money in my savings account. I need a job but I can't find anything around here...I don't have any prior job experience so it's even more difficult for me to find a job. Any advice?
keep looking my friend I am in the same boat except I am pursuing a electronix degree
ReplyDeleteVolunteer work would still give you the experience. But it would take up some of your time. It looks good on a resume though.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I like pokemon as well, I'm waiting for Black/White to come out, but I have HG. If that makes any sense to you.
Go for polisci instead
ReplyDeleteplay a guitar, get some chicks
ReplyDeleteYeah I understand college is a different game than any other sort of education. Also, try finding a job on campus. Thats what I do and I get enough hours in to make some extra cash.
ReplyDeleteSearch high and low for an on-campus job. Good luck!
ReplyDeletekeep in mind your college experience is what YOU make of it. So go out and do stuff.
ReplyDeleteas for job advice, volunteer at a place where you would like a job (careerwise)then when a position opens us you should already have a foot in the door.
If you're looking for some quick part time job I know in my area a lot of political campaigns are hiring to help tell people to go out and vote. Try it out, i did it 2 years ago during the 2008 election and I made tax free money since you work as a contractor.
ReplyDeleteif i ever go to college im taking economics courses
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Good ups on the Gibson SG, I had a 1977 Cherry Red Gibson SG not too long ago.. broke in two right at the headstock.. :(
ReplyDeleteJust improve your study habits and include classical music, i.e. Vivaldi, Chopin, Beethoven, Goldsmith [Jerry], etc. My study habits always improve when I do that :)
ReplyDeleteAs someone else said, volunteer work can always be a nice start for experience.
